Ok, I'm a little behind....I just set up a Google Reader account and subscribed to an RSS feed. And I have to say I'm impressed with myself (even though it was quite easy.) I was looking for some birding sites with RSS feeds but couldn't find anything really interesting. (Umm, not a lot of newsbreaking updates in the birding world, but I still dig it.) So, I went for tennis. Suprising how many sports websites overlook tennis. Hmph. Finally, I found that CBS Sports allows you to choose tennis specifically. I'm thrilled.

And here's a picture of (imho) the greatest men's tennis player of all time.

Ok, ok, it's Roger Federer for those of you who don't follow sports AT ALL.

I could be one of those freaky librarians with lots of dogs. I'm not. But I could be one day. Yikes!

These are my pups.

p.s. this was done using Big Huge Labs, a Flickr fd toy.

7 1/2 Habits

Ok, not suprisingly, the easiest habit for me is Play. I make a conscious effort to enjoy life and play is a big part of that, in both my personal and professional life. As a manager, I try to make my employee's work-life enjoyable as well. We all spend so much time together that it's ridiculous to be miserable or to dislike coming to work.

The hardest habit for me is viewing problems as challenges. It's semantics really, but I get what they're saying. I tend to get immediately overwhelmed when a problem presents itself. I'm not really into challenges, I'm more laid back and easygoing. What I need to do then, at work at least, is to think about how problems may affect my co-workers and approach the challenge that way. I should see the issue as a challenge to be resolved for the team.
